A Journey of Resolve
The train hums softly in the dawn's embrace,
A fleeting world through the window’s face.
Children's laughter rings, so light and free,
Their joy a mirror of what was once to me.
Parents hold them close, their bonds so tight,
In their eyes, I see a world of light.
Yet, in my heart, a storm does weep,
A hollow ache, a memory deep.
Nine long years, a shadowy span,
From the son to the sone, a broken man.
Denied the warmth of his tender gaze,
A father's love lost in life's maze.
Jealousy brews, but grief overtakes,
Each passing smile, another heartache.
But as the train carries me through the land,
A decision grows, as firm as the sand.
No longer will I dwell in despair,
Strength must rise where pain laid bare.
I will reclaim the bond once torn,
A love renewed, a future reborn.
For he deserves the joy I can give,
A life of love, a reason to live.
Through trials hard and battles steep,
I’ll climb the mountains, cross the deep.
The laughter I see, I will one day share,
His happiness mine, beyond compare.
This journey, a metaphor for my quest,
To bring him back, to give my best.
So let the train move, the morning unfold,
A father’s resolve, steadfast and bold.
For in his smile, I will find my sun,
A life anew, with my beloved son.
